Barry M Matte Nail Paint Review

Hello there my Stylish Bows and welcome to another day at Bows of Style. As I write this I sit at McDonald's with a yummy hot chocolate in my hands. I love the power of technology, if any of you are also bloggers and use Blogger as your blog platform then I would definitely recommend the Blogger app. I am currently using it on my phone to write this post, I just add the photos on my laptop and save the post, then write it when I am out and about.

Today I am going to talk to you about a fairly new release that I am totally in love with. Sorry this post is missing swatches, but the photos where out of focus. I'll put a pic of swatches up on Instagram soon, promise. My name is just Bowsofstyle, there should be an Instagram button on the side of the page which will take you straight too it. Yay.

Barry M is one of my favourite nail polish brands, they sell great products but at really low prices, a perfect combination. Unfortunately with Barry M I have never been a huge fan of any of their other products, but they are a winner when it comes to my nail polish needs. So onto their new product, Matte Nail Paint. Link.

Colour: 2 Crush
Cost: £3.99
My Rating: 4 bows out of 5

I really love this shade it is a gorgeous burgundy, slightly more A/W than Spring but I still love it. The colour selection isn't great for these, there are only about 5 shades and they are either very pale or very dark. There are no brights or pastels in this range which I think is a real shame. As for the product itself, The finish is lovely. I was a bit worried that it was going to be a bit flaky but it is really nice. Smooth but in a matte way if that makes sense. I had it on for about 3 days with no top coat and it didn't chip which I think is great, but I did have to apply about 2-3 coats to get the colour and finish even. My only problem with this product is applying a top coat. If you use a normal top coat, you loose the matte look and feel of the polish. But if you buy a matte top coat not only will you be spending even more money, it will basically give the same finish to all polishes matte or not.

With all of that in mind I do think these are great products, but they could do with bringing out a wider range of colours and maybe a matching top coat that differs from other matte top coats. What do you think of the matte nails look? Let me know. PS. Just started my Twitter, please follow me. My name is BowsofStyle as usual.
