MAC Lustre Lipstick - PLINK!

MAC Lustre Lipstick - PLINK!

Hello again my Stylish Bows, I made a sneaky order on the Debenhams website last week and saw this gorgeous MAC lipstick shade which I couldn't leave. The shade is called PLINK! and is one of the brands Lustre lipsticks. I really like the lustre lipstick finish as it always feels soft and super creamy, and this product is no exception.

I have always been a huge MAC fan. From blush and eye shadow, to lipstick and make up brushes, I love the lot. The lipsticks always stand out to me, with their black, sleek almost bullet like packaging and their intense colour and great pigmentation. The best thing about these are they are only about £15. Now this may be a lot of money to some, but compared to some other high end lipsticks I have tried (and have paled in comparison) they are a great deal.

This shade is definitely a new favourite. It is a creamy, rose-gold kinda colour with a very slight shimmer(almost undetectable). When on the lips it is super creamy and has amazing lasting power. My only fault with this shade, is it's one of those colours that look terrible on anything less than perfectly moisturised lips. As it is Autumn/Winter at the moment and my lips are getting really dry I think this lipstick may be put away until the summer or spring, but I have a feeling it will find it's way into my handbag occasionally (aka every week).

What's your favourite MAC lipstick shade for A/W ?

Smooch Eye Shadow Duo's

Smooch Eye shadow Duo's

Hello my Stylish Bows, last week I found out that a store called W7 Beauty Outlet came to a shopping centre near by. If you have never been to one, it is basically a store that not only sells the brand W7 but also sells selected products from brands such as Essie, Revlon, Urban Decay, Rimmel and OPI for a discounted rate. I even found three of the Revlon Lip Butter shades for only £2.99. They also sell brands I have never seen before including the brand Smooch. They sell lots of different products, but the one's that stood out to my where their eye shadow duo's.
The minute I saw these I thought they looked almost exactly like the Nars Eye shadow duo's (which I love). Even the product inside looked similar.

They sell quite a lot of shades but I picked up three just to try. (From L-R: Social Butterfly, Trophy Wife and Posh Totti.) The first two shades have a shimmery lighter shade and a more glittery deeper shade. The final one, Posh Totti (my Favourite) has two shimmery shades.

Both Social Butterfly and Trophy Wife have terrible pigmentation, but can look OK with a wet brush, but the look doesn't last. Posh Totti for some reason has better pigmentation, not great but better. The shades are also a lot more wearable. It has a soft peach perfect for all over the lid, and then a grey toned brown which looks nice in the crease.

Over-all I was not overly impressed with these products, but still wanted to share them with you. Luckily I only paid £2.99 each, so I'm not too disappointed. An extra point I would like to include is that the shop does have a website, but after taking a look it does not include half as many great products as the store does.
Great chatting with you.

My week in photos #1

My Week in Photos #1

Hello my stylish Bows. So this week I have been kinda snap happy with my camera, and have decided to make a regular weekly post about my life in photos. Which brings us to this weeks, enjoy.

OMG!!!! I bought a new Nars blush. I won't say too much, but expect a full review soon.

I took this using my phone, I thought I would share my prized possession with you. I really love to name things but I am struggling to chose a name for my camera. Got any ideas? I would love some suggestions.

I would like to introduce my newest obsession. I am in love with Pretty Little Liars this week ( and for the last 2 months). I love each girl's style and they have become a great fashion inspiration for me. My favourite character is probably Spencer, we have a scary amount in common. I am totally team Spody. If you know what this means comment below.

Now that the weather has gotten really cold, I love a yummy hot drink after a long day. Lately I have been really enjoying a frothy cappuccino in my pretty pink mug.

This is the stuff of the gods. Tesco is now selling loads of lovely american sweet things including this marshmallow fluff. It's great with pancakes, unfortunately not very healthy but oh well.

I am in love with Primark candles and when I saw this three wick one last week I had to have it. It smells really fresh and I love it soooo much. It also has a great Christmas-y tin which I love.

Well that's it for this week. It was surprisingly hard to make this post, while still keeping my identity a secret.

L'oreal Micellar Water Review and First Impressions

L'oreal Skin Perfection Purifying Micellar Solution

Review and First Impressions

Hello my Stylish Bows, I have always wanted to try the Bioderma cleansing water which I have heard removes make-up effortlessly, and have never had a chance to try it. When I saw the Loreal Miceller Solution in Boots I was instantly intrigued. It claims to dissolve make-up and unclog pores, which are two promises that are really important for a make-up remover.

I love the fact that this product isn't perfumed and doesn't smell of chemicals. It is light and fresh, and feels just like water. It gets off all of my make-up from my face, eyes and lips, and my waterproof mascara comes off in seconds. When taking off heavy eye make-up or waterproof eye make-up I suggest after applying the product to a cotton pad, holding it over a closed eye for about 3 seconds and all make-up will wipe off effortlessly.

It is also only £4.99 from Boots. I have been told that the Bioderma is a little more expensive so it is already gaining points in my book. Although I love this product and use it every single day, I would still love to try out the Bioderma cleansing water so please bring it to stores in the UK soon.

Cloud Nine The Wide Iron Straighteners

Cloud Nine
The Wide Iron Straighteners

Hello again my Stylish Bows, I cannot believe I haven't posted since September. It has been really crazy lately but I'm back and plan to post a lot more.
So on Friday it was my birthday and I wanted to share my opinion of one of the lovely presents I received from my parents.

They bought me the Wide Iron straighteners from Cloud 9. I did ask for these but I know I will get a lot of use out of them, which is good as it comes with a £135 price tag. YIKES. But if the glowing reviews are correct they will be completely worth it, and after trying out these little beauties I can say they are definitely the best I have ever used.

Packaging
The packaging of these is just so pretty. They come in a black box with a Tiffany blue ribbon. They also come with a heatproof bag with the company logo stitched over the front. Now, I know that appearances are not everything, but it's always nice when they look cute. It just adds to their appeal.

Design
The design of these is very sleek and not too heavy. They look very professional and I love the blue guard that is included to keep the plates together for storage.

Performance.
I could talk all day about what is amazing about these. The wide iron is for long, thick hair which I have. They give a sleek, completely straight look which lasts. With other straighteners I find that the ends of my hair do not straighten very well, but with these my hair looked straighter than it ever has before. I also really love the heat function which allows you to change the heat to your preferred temperature.

From what I have seen of this product so far they are definitely worth it.
