Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks Review

Hello my Stylish Bows. Today I have a very picture heavy post for you, but when I was photographing these products I was really pleased with the results. Today I am going to finally review the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks, I know I am a bit late on these but I haven't had chance to review these lately. I have two original lipsticks and a matte lipstick to review, I hope you enjoy.

First up, the matte lipstick. This is my favourite as I am a matte make-up fanatic. The colour of this is #111 Kiss of Life, The matte lipsticks are easily recognisable by their red packaging. This colour mixed with the amazing pigmentation and formula of the product makes it my number 1 red lipstick. I use it all the time and has become my go to product. The product glides on effortlessly and stays there. When I first got this product I wore it without a lip liner and it didn't move, and at only about £5 it is my favourite beauty bargain.

The original formulas are no exception. They also have great pigmentation and smooth formula, but have a little more natural finish. These would be perfect for anyone who is a bit shy of matte lipstick or bold colours. I have these in #10 which is an orangey red and #03 which is a bit more of a nude colour with a few brown undertones. I don't wear these colours as much, only because I prefer a bold lip but they are equally impressive.

Johnny Loves Rosie Bow Necklace

Hello my Stylish Bows, today is the first time I will share with you one of my amazing Christmas presents that I love. One of my presents this year from my parents was this gorgeous bow necklace from Johnny and Rosie. The brand sells accessories and is sold on many sites including their official site and

This necklace comes in silver and gold, both have matching rings and earrings available. It is plated in 14ct gold and has baby blue gems. This piece is absolutely gorgeous and I am currently considering purchasing the matching ring. Normally this piece is sold at £18 on the official website, but is currently on sale at only £5.40. Unfortunately for my parents, they paid full price but oh well. This necklace is now part of my every day wardrobe and my statement piece. I definitely recommend getting this as a little sale shopping treat.

You can find the product HERE.

Favourite Red Lip Combo Winter 2013

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick #111 Kiss Of Life £5.49 Boots and e.l.f Matte Lip Colour # Rich Red £3.75 E.L.F
Hello my Stylish Bows. Today I wanted to share with you my favourite red lipstick combo at the moment. I have really been loving a matte lip this season and my favourite combo is the Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 111 Kiss Of Life and the e.l.f Matte Lip Colour in Rich Red. I like to use the e.l.f product as a lip liner and to fill in my lips to make my lipstick last longer. I then apply the Rimmel lipstick over the top for a rich colour. You could use either product on it's own but I prefer to use both to achieve a bold look.
What are you loving this winter?

Hello again my Stylish Bows, today I have a review for you. I am sorry I have not included any swatches of this product, but when I tried to upload the images they looked dark and patchy so I chose to leave them out. The review today is of one of my new favourite blushes, NARS Mata Hari. As always with NARS products the quality and pigmentation is excellent. This product blends beautifully and looks natural, giving a gorgeous flush of colour. I like to describe this colour as a dusty rose kinda colour. It is a really pretty pink, which I love, but is a colour completely unique to my collection. As you can see from the last picture the packaging gets really messy quite fast, but the product inside is amazing. Definitely a product I wish to repurchase. If you are looking for this product you can pick it up from quite a few places but I picked mine up from at £21. I bit pricey, but definitely worth it, I am absolutely loving it.

My Favourite Winter Candle

Hello my Stylish Bows. Today's post is only quick, but I wanted to share with you my most loved candle of winter 2013. It is by a brand we all know and love Yankee Candle and is part of their Winter/Christmas collection called Sparkling Snow. The scent is a mixture of sweet and spicy, great for a cold winter evening watching a Christmas movie with hot chocolate (marshmallows included). My favourite thing about this candle is it has a sparkle to it which is really pretty. I only wish it made the flame sparkle, Hopefully those candle geniuses at Yankee Candle with make one that does it next year. Finger's crossed.

How to get inspired to write a blog post

How to get inspired to write a blog post.

Hello again my Stylish Bows. Today's post is something I have been thinking a lot about the last few months. Sometimes I really lack inspiration to do things, even blog posts which I love more than anything. When I lack inspiration I can feel really depressed and it gets me really down, but over these last few months I have found a few tricks that help me out which I would love to share with you.

1) Inspirational songs.
I love listening to songs that really inspire me and make me think while writing a blog post. I would definitely recommend Adam Barnes' songs 'Come Undone' and 'She will Stay Beneath The Moon' which you may recognise from a video Zoe from Zoella put up a while ago on YouTube, which is where I first heard it. These are both songs that make me want to write and every time I hear them I think of my blog. It makes me smile. :)

2) Blog Photos
I love looking at photos from blog posts, especially some earlier ones. I really love looking at ones that never made it into posts as it gets me thinking "How could I use these?". Here's some examples...
This photo is one that has never made it into a post as far as I know. It is of a necklace from Primark which I played around with in Photoshop.

I made this a few months ago and I am super dooper proud of it. Every time I see it, I remember my childhood bedtime stories.

3) Yummy Snacks
This is definitely a common theme with blog posts. I will be sat in front of my laptop with a coffee, ear-buds (in my ears obviously) and a yummy snack. Often not very healthy but oh well.

I really love Marshmallow fluff with pancakes. Ever tried it?

4) Warm Environment
Finally my most important. I always write my posts in my bedroom. It always feels much easier to get posts out when I am surrounded by the things I love and in a room where I don't have to worry about people reading over my shoulder. I can write whatever I like without anyone butting in. Peace. Also surrounded by pink, how could I complain?

That's all from me.

MAC Lustre Lipstick - PLINK!

MAC Lustre Lipstick - PLINK!

Hello again my Stylish Bows, I made a sneaky order on the Debenhams website last week and saw this gorgeous MAC lipstick shade which I couldn't leave. The shade is called PLINK! and is one of the brands Lustre lipsticks. I really like the lustre lipstick finish as it always feels soft and super creamy, and this product is no exception.

I have always been a huge MAC fan. From blush and eye shadow, to lipstick and make up brushes, I love the lot. The lipsticks always stand out to me, with their black, sleek almost bullet like packaging and their intense colour and great pigmentation. The best thing about these are they are only about £15. Now this may be a lot of money to some, but compared to some other high end lipsticks I have tried (and have paled in comparison) they are a great deal.

This shade is definitely a new favourite. It is a creamy, rose-gold kinda colour with a very slight shimmer(almost undetectable). When on the lips it is super creamy and has amazing lasting power. My only fault with this shade, is it's one of those colours that look terrible on anything less than perfectly moisturised lips. As it is Autumn/Winter at the moment and my lips are getting really dry I think this lipstick may be put away until the summer or spring, but I have a feeling it will find it's way into my handbag occasionally (aka every week).

What's your favourite MAC lipstick shade for A/W ?

Smooch Eye Shadow Duo's

Smooch Eye shadow Duo's

Hello my Stylish Bows, last week I found out that a store called W7 Beauty Outlet came to a shopping centre near by. If you have never been to one, it is basically a store that not only sells the brand W7 but also sells selected products from brands such as Essie, Revlon, Urban Decay, Rimmel and OPI for a discounted rate. I even found three of the Revlon Lip Butter shades for only £2.99. They also sell brands I have never seen before including the brand Smooch. They sell lots of different products, but the one's that stood out to my where their eye shadow duo's.
The minute I saw these I thought they looked almost exactly like the Nars Eye shadow duo's (which I love). Even the product inside looked similar.

They sell quite a lot of shades but I picked up three just to try. (From L-R: Social Butterfly, Trophy Wife and Posh Totti.) The first two shades have a shimmery lighter shade and a more glittery deeper shade. The final one, Posh Totti (my Favourite) has two shimmery shades.

Both Social Butterfly and Trophy Wife have terrible pigmentation, but can look OK with a wet brush, but the look doesn't last. Posh Totti for some reason has better pigmentation, not great but better. The shades are also a lot more wearable. It has a soft peach perfect for all over the lid, and then a grey toned brown which looks nice in the crease.

Over-all I was not overly impressed with these products, but still wanted to share them with you. Luckily I only paid £2.99 each, so I'm not too disappointed. An extra point I would like to include is that the shop does have a website, but after taking a look it does not include half as many great products as the store does.
Great chatting with you.

My week in photos #1

My Week in Photos #1

Hello my stylish Bows. So this week I have been kinda snap happy with my camera, and have decided to make a regular weekly post about my life in photos. Which brings us to this weeks, enjoy.

OMG!!!! I bought a new Nars blush. I won't say too much, but expect a full review soon.

I took this using my phone, I thought I would share my prized possession with you. I really love to name things but I am struggling to chose a name for my camera. Got any ideas? I would love some suggestions.

I would like to introduce my newest obsession. I am in love with Pretty Little Liars this week ( and for the last 2 months). I love each girl's style and they have become a great fashion inspiration for me. My favourite character is probably Spencer, we have a scary amount in common. I am totally team Spody. If you know what this means comment below.

Now that the weather has gotten really cold, I love a yummy hot drink after a long day. Lately I have been really enjoying a frothy cappuccino in my pretty pink mug.

This is the stuff of the gods. Tesco is now selling loads of lovely american sweet things including this marshmallow fluff. It's great with pancakes, unfortunately not very healthy but oh well.

I am in love with Primark candles and when I saw this three wick one last week I had to have it. It smells really fresh and I love it soooo much. It also has a great Christmas-y tin which I love.

Well that's it for this week. It was surprisingly hard to make this post, while still keeping my identity a secret.

L'oreal Micellar Water Review and First Impressions

L'oreal Skin Perfection Purifying Micellar Solution

Review and First Impressions

Hello my Stylish Bows, I have always wanted to try the Bioderma cleansing water which I have heard removes make-up effortlessly, and have never had a chance to try it. When I saw the Loreal Miceller Solution in Boots I was instantly intrigued. It claims to dissolve make-up and unclog pores, which are two promises that are really important for a make-up remover.

I love the fact that this product isn't perfumed and doesn't smell of chemicals. It is light and fresh, and feels just like water. It gets off all of my make-up from my face, eyes and lips, and my waterproof mascara comes off in seconds. When taking off heavy eye make-up or waterproof eye make-up I suggest after applying the product to a cotton pad, holding it over a closed eye for about 3 seconds and all make-up will wipe off effortlessly.

It is also only £4.99 from Boots. I have been told that the Bioderma is a little more expensive so it is already gaining points in my book. Although I love this product and use it every single day, I would still love to try out the Bioderma cleansing water so please bring it to stores in the UK soon.

Cloud Nine The Wide Iron Straighteners

Cloud Nine
The Wide Iron Straighteners

Hello again my Stylish Bows, I cannot believe I haven't posted since September. It has been really crazy lately but I'm back and plan to post a lot more.
So on Friday it was my birthday and I wanted to share my opinion of one of the lovely presents I received from my parents.

They bought me the Wide Iron straighteners from Cloud 9. I did ask for these but I know I will get a lot of use out of them, which is good as it comes with a £135 price tag. YIKES. But if the glowing reviews are correct they will be completely worth it, and after trying out these little beauties I can say they are definitely the best I have ever used.

The packaging of these is just so pretty. They come in a black box with a Tiffany blue ribbon. They also come with a heatproof bag with the company logo stitched over the front. Now, I know that appearances are not everything, but it's always nice when they look cute. It just adds to their appeal.

The design of these is very sleek and not too heavy. They look very professional and I love the blue guard that is included to keep the plates together for storage.

I could talk all day about what is amazing about these. The wide iron is for long, thick hair which I have. They give a sleek, completely straight look which lasts. With other straighteners I find that the ends of my hair do not straighten very well, but with these my hair looked straighter than it ever has before. I also really love the heat function which allows you to change the heat to your preferred temperature.

From what I have seen of this product so far they are definitely worth it.

Cute New Autumn Scarf

Cute New Autumn Scarf

Hello again, my Stylish Bows. To start this post I would just like to apologise for my absence this month. As many of you will know September can be a very stressful month, but now that I am back in my school routine and have planned time for blogging I can finally sit down and talk (type) with you all again. These last few months I have seen the arrival of a few new subscribers and I would just like to take this time to thank you and welcome you to my blog.

Now, with the welcome over lets continue to the post...

So today's post is just a quick one, but I really wanted to share this gorgeous scarf I picked up from Primark last week. The moment I saw this I knew it would be perfect for Autumn. It is a thin material but is also quite wide and long so it covers your neck well. The flower print is just so pretty and can really go with anything and for those lucky days when a light jacket is all you need this can be draped loosely around your neck for a gorgeous and effortless look. The best part of course is that it is only £4. If this scarf isn't really your style however, Primark has quite a few scarves on sale for £2 at the moment so it may be worth your while to take a look. Do you have any Autumn style staples this year? Please let me know in the comments.

Fairytale Quote Photography

Fairytale Quote

Hello again my Stylish Bows, Today's post is a little different from my normal beauty obsessed reviews. Lately I have been having fun trying out new photography ideas, and getting great inspiration from all over the internet. I fell instantly in love with quote photography and how simple it is, yet the result is simply breathtaking. So I gave it a whirl. What do you think?

The photo is a tiny bit darker than I would have liked, but I can't control the British weather. I love fairytales, from Cinderella to Dorothy and her Ruby slippers, the characters and their stories capture my head and heart. I am not ashamed to admit that I am one of those poor saps that own or have seen every remake of the classic Cinderella story (no matter how cheesy) and fall in love with the story every time, as if it is completely new to my little world. That is where I gained my inspiration for this little piece. Instead of finding just one quote, I decided to put together different parts of some my favourite fairytales, finishing with a word for word quote from my favourite movie Tangled. For this I used the stories Cinderella, The Wizard Of Oz, Snow White and Tangled.
Can you guess which parts are from which stories?
Have you tried something like this? I'd love to take a look.

Maybelline Baby Lips

Maybelline Baby Lips

Hello my Stylish Bows, the other day I picked up the much anticipated Baby Lips. Maybelline just brought this product to the UK, and are currently only selling them in Boots I have been told. I chose the Pink Punch one, at the price £2.99. Basically this product is a lip balm, each colour offering something different. Pink Punch is the tinted one in the range, and gives off a soft pink sheen.

On the packaging, this product offers 8 hours of moisture. Personally I think this is quite an overstatement. It does last for about an hour both moisture and colour, but that is a big difference from the label. Naughty Maybelline. Over looking this little stretch of truth, I am overall very pleased. At only £2.99 I wasn't expecting too much, but I really like the peach flavour and it did give my lips a pretty pink sheen. It is good for the price, but pales in comparison to my beloved Balmi lip balms.

Overall I do enjoy this product, and is great for throwing in your bag and applying on the go, however when looking for a moisturising lip product that adds colour, Revlon's Colourburst Lip Butter is by far the best.

Monthly Favourites: July

Monthly Favourites: July

Hello my Stylish Bows, and welcome to my first ever monthly favourites post. I have seen so many people do these on blogs and YouTube that I decided to give it a whirl. So it is the start of August, and the month of July has seen some great beauty products.
Sorry about the bad lighting.
So the first two things I have been loving this month are the Balmi cube lip balm's in Strawberry(left) and Raspberry(right). It took me forever to try these little babies, but I finally got the chance when I saw them for half price in Boots. They are normally £4.99 each, but I was able to pick them up for £2.99 each (Bargain!!!). They are definitely the softest, smoothest and best smelling lip balm I have used in quite a while. I just wish I had tried them sooner, but I will saver every moment with them to make up for it. Personally I prefer the strawberry one, just because I found that the raspberry one smells like a slightly muted version of the strawberry. Have you tried these flavours? What do you think?

This product I bought at the beginning of September and have mainly used on days that I only need light coverage. But as July saw a heatwave unusual for the UK, I started wearing lighter make-up and less eye products. I don't think I could have survived without this little baby. It gives a light coverage, but helps battle redness. I have found my skin looking a lot clearer after wearing the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream, and it feels as if I am wearing nothing at all (make-up wise, I promise I wear clothes. I swear). I use the shade light, and it is priced at about £7.99.

I am totally in love with Revlon's Colour burst Lip Butter's. This July I have been using the shade Peach Parfait, it's a gorgeous natural looking pink colour. This product is not only a lovely colour, but is very glittery. It has a soft shimmer which is pretty, but does not look over the top.

I have used this almost everyday, and I have a sneaky suspicion it will appear in future monthly favourites.
The packaging also makes this product great, it looks very high end and is a steal at only £7.99.

Collection's Lasting Perfection concealer is one of my all time favourite concealer's. A few months ago I ran out, and decided to try some other products for a while, but this month I have come back to this with open arms ready to continue our love affair. I am in love with this concealer, as it has everything I look for. It has a thick formula which covers all blemishes, but feels light on the skin. It claims to last for 16 hours and I can honestly say that it does last a long time, but after about 4 hours I usually need to re-apply in some areas. Over all this is a great quality product, and for only £4.19 it definitely deserves a place in my monthly favs.

Last but certainly not least, is Maybelline's Mega Plush Volum' Express mascara. I have used this every day of July, and am still using it today. This mascara gives a gorgeous fluttery look, which is my favourite lash look by far. What I love most about this product is that it gives you the ability to have a light soft lash with just a few gentle strokes, or a more voluminous, full and expressive look with a few full, thick strokes. The wand on this mascara has a moveable head which bends to catch every lash, as you apply it. Yet again Maybelline has produced an amazing product and the price tag is equally amazing ( about £7.99 I think).

Well, that's it from me today. I am sorry this post was so long but I just had so much to say. I would also like to apologise that all beauty related posts I have done on this blog so far have all been drug-store/ high-street products, I promise to start including more high end products soon. I guess I have just been a bit drug-store/ high-street obsessed lately. Who hasn't, right?
